YUH-LINE NIOU

New York State AssemblyMEMBER, District 65 (manhattan)

Hi, I'm New York State Assemblymember Yuh-Line Niou. We're currently facing two pandemics -- the coronavirus and xenophobia. Without adequate resources from the federal government, our communities are struggling under the weight of both of these crises. I'm working around the clock to make sure all New Yorkers have what they need to get through this, and to condemn anti-Asian sentiment and attacks.

I have advocated to make at-home testing kits accessible, cover COVID-19 treatment copays, provide paid sick leave and unemployment benefits (regardless of immigration status), eliminate price gouging of critical products, and enable language access to community services. Most recently, I successfully proposed an Executive Order to automatically send absentee ballots to all eligible voters in New York State for the upcoming election. I have also introduced a bill to cancel 90 days of rent for anyone affected by COVID-19. I'm fighting for my community -- for Lower Manhattan, for women, for people of color, and for all New Yorkers who feel like they don't have a voice in government.
